I think the Beeb website have got this story about Cliff's new record the wrong way round. It's not the fact that he's bidding for chart history that's news.*
The actual news there is that he forgot he recorded a song called Mobile Alabama School Leaving Hullabaloo.
Mobile Alabama School Leaving Hullabaloo! And it's from 1977 which really excites me because I love absolutely everything he recorded between 1975-85 the mostest.
Now then, what shall I do with my weekend? One should make the most of life so I'm going to be knitting and listening to Cliff. And perhaps a few more episodes of The Powers of Matthew Starr. Joy!
*Although I'd be rather annoyed if I was forced to give up knitting, so I don't blame him for being upset that he's been forced into an unwanted chart retirement because nobody wants to give him any decent songs. |
