Today brought culinary revelation after revelation. I made a fruit compote, which has nothing to do with that chap from Last Of The Summer Wine and was actually rather nice - apricots and bananas cooked in orange juice with cinnamon.

First course was Thai Chicken with noodles, only without the noodles because I forgot. Still, there was plenty of beanstalks instead. That’s three successful dishes in one weekend, and I didn’t kill Mr W once, not even a little bit.

What I’ve learned from this is that WeightWatchers recipes are brilliant! They taste amazing, like food you’d want from a nice restaurant, and even I can’t break them. I’ve gathered all the recipes from my magazines into a folder and made notes on the ones I made so far, so I know what worked and what didn’t.

This cooking is all so new and exciting - I did wonder if I’d been replaced with an alien repilcant so I decided to start three new knitting projects I have no intention of finishing to prove it’s me.

I’m glad it did all work out because it’s Mr Weasel’s birthday today. We celebrated by blowing up a ceiling light fitting and going to B&Q to be terse.

Yay for successful recipes! I have a huge D-ring folder full of Slimming World food optimising recipes from their magazine for all kinds of yummy meals, similarly to WeightWatchers, I'd imagine. They focus on stuff you can eat loads of without needing to count calories etc. and you just use frylight spray oil instead of cooking oil and trim the fat off meat etc.
